We offer a range of different project management services:
ProcurementWe provide impartial professional advice to clients whom are not regular purchasers of construction work. They can vary from large corporate organisations to a family undertaking a small kitchen extension. This advice can help avoid a project veering off course.
We advise all our clients to have a minimum of detailed designs and written specification for the builder. We can help to make sure that all parties know what is expected before anyone makes a commitment.
Cost Control & Quantity Surveying
No matter how big, how beautiful or how unique a design may be, the final outcome is normally dictated by cost. We can help ensure that cost is controlled throughout the construction period.
We are able to produce designs to clients budgets, or give you honest advice about the feasibility of meeting your ambitions with the funding that you have.
We can offer ways to reduce costs that may allow you to maintain your ambitions for the project. For instance a change in material can often make a big difference.
We’ll also identify areas of the project where costs may escalate. Being aware of these pressure points can often allow us to more effectively deal with them.
All of this experience combined with our ability to prepare full tender and contract documentation means we have a reputation for establishing a good client / builder relationship and for keeping cost concerns to a minimum.
As project managers we’ll create clear and attainable project objectives, meet the construction requirements, and manage the cost, time, and quality.
Poor project management invariable leads to increased cost and which is why high quality project management is always money well spent.
Contract ManagementIn the role of Contracts Manager or Contract Administrator we can negotiate terms and conditions in contracts between client and builder. Clear negotiation and agreement does a great deal to ensure the builder meets the requirement of the contract. We’re also able to negotiate and document any amendments that may arise during the project, and make sure the builder understands how the changes should be implemented.
Site ManagementWe can provide site managers for the day-to-day on site running of your construction project.
Typically a site manager is employed by your builder or construction company, and many smaller building companies have their own working site manager. We would normally a ‘private site manager' direct to a client if a main contractor or lead builder is not appointed and teams of sub-contractors are being used.
We will keep your build on time and budget, or if there are unavoidable delays communicate their nature to all parties and a plot a way forward.
Our site manager will also ensure that all health and safety checks are performed and that and quality control of the work is maintained with regular inspections.
